How payouts work

Rewards are paid in SOL from the reward treasury, a public Solana wallet that receives the token's fees. The pool is only ever what actually came in. Nothing is promised up front, so the system can't run out.

Every 5 minutes

The game runs in 5-minute rounds (:00, :05, :10…). When a round ends:

  1. We measure how much new money reached the treasury during the round (the inflow).
  2. 70% of it is split between everyone who earned Trench Points in that round, in proportion to their points.
  3. The other 30% is set aside for today's leaderboard.
  4. Your share is sent to your linked wallet automatically, usually within a minute of the round ending.
your payout = round pool × (your points this round ÷ everyone's points this round)

If nobody earned points in a round, or no fees came in, nothing is lost. Unused money rolls into the next round.

Who gets paid

  • Linked wallet: you've linked your Roblox account and a Solana wallet on the link page.
  • $10+ of the token: your wallet holds at least $10 worth of the Trench Tycoon token when the payout runs. We check the balance on-chain every round.

Miss either one and your rewards aren't lost. They're saved on your Roblox account and sent automatically in the first round after you link a wallet and hold $10 of the token.

Every day

At 00:00 UTC the day's leaderboard pot is paid to the top 50 players by Daily Score, on a curve so the top is rewarded without one player taking everything:

RankShare of leaderboard potShare of the whole day's fees
#112%3.6%
#28%2.4%
#36%1.8%
#4 – #104% each1.2% each
#11 – #501.15% each0.34% each

Ties go to whoever reached the score first. If fewer than 50 people are on the board, the unused shares roll into tomorrow's pot. Leaderboard winnings are paid out automatically the same way.

A worked example

Say the token earns 10 SOL in fees over a day and 30 players each hit the 100-point cap:

  • The 5-minute rounds add up to 7 SOL, so everyone at the cap ends up with about 0.233 SOL, dripped into their wallet all day.
  • The leaderboard pot is 3 SOL. #1 gets an extra 0.36 SOL, #10 gets 0.12 SOL, and #30 gets 0.0345 SOL.

Real amounts depend on when fees arrive and who's playing each round. Playing during busy trading means bigger rounds.

Why not just convert Cash to tokens?

In-game Cash has no ceiling, so paying it out at a fixed rate would eventually owe more than exists. Paying a share of real fees by capped points means the maths always balances, and a Floor 5 tower can't drain everyone else's rewards.
